We are absolutely delighted with a record-breaking set of GCSE results. Over 77% of the grades were at C or above and over 73% of our Year 11 cohort achieved five or more higher grade passes. This smashes our previous best that was set in 2005. It is a fitting tribute to all the hard work of the students and teachers over the past five years, and indeed prior to this in their primary schools. Congratulations to everyone . . . GCSE Results 2009

We are delighted to report that this set of results has improved upon the very high standards set in previous years. We have the largest Sixth Form in Wales with 555 entries, and yet there were only two fail grades and over 78% of the grades were A,B or C with over 25% at Grade A. Of particular note is the fact that 27 of our students achieved at least three A grades, with their successes being spread across all subjects. Our rate of placement of students into their first choice universities has been excellent and students, parents and staff are rightly celebrating their terrific success . . . A Level Results 2009
